denim jackets and a stroll in the Old Port

I cannot say this enough: I am tired of winter and ready for spring! My husband and I went into the Old Port for an afternoon walk around Exchange St. Even though there was still some snow on the ground, it didn’t stop me from enjoying golden hour in the sun. I was so excited about the 45 degree weather, I ditched my winter coat for something a little lighter.

The denim jacket has been a spring/summer trend for as long as I can remember. For this simple outfit, I paired my jacket with this gray tank top and black leggings both from J. Crew.

Jacket: Kohl’s, Top: J. Crew. Bottoms: J. Crew. Purse: Francesca’s. Bracelet: Tiffany & Co. Sunglasses: Francesca’s. Shoes: J. Crew

During our afternoon walk, we went to re-caffeinate at Bard Coffee and go to The Holy Donut for a snack. If you have never experienced Holy Donut, I highly recommend you check it out. You cannot go into the Old Port and NOT get THD. They make their donuts with all natural ingredients and Maine potato flour! So yes, they are potato donuts without the potato taste! And if you’re gluten free, have no fear! They have a wide selection of gluten free donuts as well. By the time my husband and I went into the Exchange St store, they were sold out of just about everything except maple bacon and old fashioned. Their dark chocolate sea salt was the reason why we went in!

I snagged the last Berry Cobbler donut!

Before winter ends, I plan on stocking up my closet with clothes that I plan on wearing when the snow is gone. Mainly focusing on how to pair tops and bottoms with this jacket. It’s never to early to start, plus gives me an excuse to go shopping for my spring break trip. šŸ˜‰ Guess I should probably start ditching the donuts so I can still fit in this jacket….it probably won’t happen.
