I think it’s safe to say that winter, in Southern Maine at least, has come to an end! But alas, we’re confined in our homes til the end of the month (hopefully). Regardless, I’m ready to put away my winter jackets & boots and bust out the sandals and body suits! And start looking at those spring and summer sales early to build my post-quarantine wardrobe.
Although my husband and I couldn’t go anywhere on Easter Sunday, we still dressed up and joined in on a virtual brunch with our best friends via Zoom. We did homemade cinnamon beignets and “loaded” biscuits a la Tandem Bakery (we miss them…). For my Easter Sunday look, I didn’t have a lot of pastels in my current wardrobe that would fit the occasion but I went for this white open jacket paired with a black bodysuit and mustard yellow tapered pants.
Spring inspo My pants match the fire hydrant.
Mustard yellow is an interesting shade of yellow to wear in the spring time as we normally think of a “lemon yellow” to be more spring-like and mustard to be closer to fall. However, I think mustard yellow can be an all year round shade and adds a sophisticated touch to spring when worn with the right color combos like black, white, or navy blue. This photo will have me looking like a queen bee all season long!
