If 2020 quarantine was an outfit, it would definitely sweatpants. Athleisure style has become super popular within the past couple years thanks to brands like Lululemon, Athleta, Fabletics, etc. And since there wasn’t much we could do with our outfits during the beginning of quarantine, other big name brands started hopping on the train thanks to the new WFH lifestyle. While the pandemic is starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel, the athleisure trend has proven it’s not leaving anytime soon.
During my last trip to Aritzia, I picked up the TNA airy sweatshorts from the Cozy AF collection thinking it would be a nice spring/summer piece. The sweatshorts were definitely worth the $40 – the inside lining is so soft, the waistband wasn’t too tightening, and it’s slightly oversized for that comfy, baggy look. I didn’t pick up a matching hoodie/sweatshirt at the time thinking I could pair it with whatever I had at home. But then a couple days later, I looked at the shorts and thought, “Man…I need something to match this with”. I picked up the Cozy AD 1/4 zipper cropped sweatshirt since I had other hoodies at home and was amazed at how roomy and cozy the sweatshirt was. The inside lining was soft like the shorts and the quality is just as good to make it the perfect matching set.
The shorts and sweatshirt both come in a variety of colors to choose from. The shorts start at $40 while the sweatshirt starts at $60. You can choose either the cozy or airy fleece, however the airy fleece doesn’t have as many colors compared to the cozy fleece. While they may be a steep for simple athleisure wear, the quality and comfort of both pieces are an investment and can be used all year round.
